NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An event celebrating fatherhood and promoting health and well-being for dads was hosted at Belmont University’s Curb Center.
“Training Camp for Dads” was hosted by the NFL Alumni Association, the TN Department of Human Services, Belmont University, and Omega Psi Phi on Saturday, June 21.
The event provided tips and resources on parenting, maintaining physical and mental health, job training, and career development. Expectant fathers were coached on car seat installation, diaper changing, feeding,g and child safety tips.
Special guests included retired NFL stars Al Smith, Michael Oher, Ken Amato, Kevin Dyson, Brad Hopkins, Winston Justice and Dexter McCluster.
Because this event was family friendly, there was a Kona Ice snow cone truck, bounce houses, a DJ and booths from various organizations.
The event was funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee.
