About the Program
The National Football League Alumni Association (NFL Alumni) Fatherhood Champions program is an initiative designed to shine a light on how essential dads are to building strong, healthy families.
This program is all about supporting fathers — giving them the confidence, tools, and practical skills to become even more involved and impactful in their children’s lives.
Thanks to a grant from the Tennessee Department of Human Services, NFL Alumni is able to bring this program to life through a number of efforts, including:
- A hands-on “Training Camp for Dads”, packed with resources and guidance tailored specifically for fathers.
- A series of educational workshops throughout the year covering topics like parenting, co-parenting, and maintaining physical and mental health and wellbeing.
- A “Playbook” designed to support rookie dads and veteran dads.
- Video podcasts and a mix of social and traditional media efforts to raise awareness around the importance of being an active, present father.
NFL Alumni is thrilled to have the support of several NFL Alumni Ambassadors, including Ken Amato, Kevin Dyson, Brad Hopkins, Winston Justice, Dexter McCluster, and Al Smith — with more to join NFL Alumni in upcoming events.
NFL Alumni is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to our three-part mission: caring for our own, caring for kids, and caring for the community.
